Pis zvabek

PIS Zvabek

The Žvabek Singing and Instrument Group (PIS Žvabek) remains one of the main vectors of Slovenian culture in the municipality of Suha (Austria). On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, the group has been revitalized and also strengthened numerically, thus continuing its role as a central player in cultural events in Žvabek and the region.
The group was founded as a children's choir in 1978 on the initiative of teacher Rosina Katz-Logar and has since become a recognized part of the association, which operates in the region since 1910. They prepare 10 to 15 performances per year, directed by the director and teacher Vera Sadjak. Their songs, collected on the CD This Is Our Song, enrich radio broadcasts in Austria and Slovenia for almost twenty years.
The group is dedicated to interpreting
of Carinthian, Slovenian and German songs, which they present in arrangements vocal and instrumental music, thus preserving and developing the rich musical tradition of the Slovenians Carinthians. www.kpddrava.at

Kalina

MoPZ Dragotin Kette

MoPZ Dragotin Kette

The Dragotin Kette Men's Choir (Slovenian: Moški pevski zbor Dragotin Kette, abbreviated as MoPZ Dragotin Kette) is an iconic vocal ensemble from the town of Ilirska Bistrica, Slovenia.
The choir is named after Dragotin Kette (1876-1899), a famous Slovenian impressionist and neo-romantic poet born in Prem, a village near Ilirska Bistrica. He is considered one of the four pillars of Slovenian literary modernism.
The choir boasts a tradition of choral singing of more than 100 years in the region. In its form it recently celebrated 80 years of uninterrupted activity, a milestone which was organized in May 2025 for this anniversary.
It is one of the few choirs to have participated in all editions of "Primorska poje", a major festival that brings together the choirs of the Slovenian Littoral region (Primorska) created in 1970.
Their repertoire is deeply rooted in Slovenian folk song, but they also perform classical compositions and contemporary works.
The ensemble is currently conducted by Janja Konestabo.

Core Corsu

The vocal group CORE CORSU, known for its famous songs of the villages and the Corsican mountains, shows the friendly, warm, Mediterranean side of its island.
Their voices are raised "a cappella", for the pleasure of all. They sing the soul of Corsica, and in particular "la Paghjella", an emblematic song with these voices that intertwine, merge, and from which these very special sounds escape. A moment of grace.......
… but who is, CORE CORSU... Men who sang in different village choirs, decided to gather around Jean Luiggi, only for the pleasure of the voices. The adventure begins.
They then participate in cultural meetings and exchanges where they transmit this emotion peculiar, specific to these songs of the Corsican mountains, passed down from generation to generation.
Invited to various festivals, the group performs in France and abroad.
